Hi All,

As some of you that we talked to on last years meeting in Austria
might remember, Chantal and I have been thinking about organizing a
trip to Iceland next year. Finally, between all the normal stuff, a
job move, a house move and a house renovation that took up some of our
free time, we have managed to poor the idea into some words and put it
on a website.

In short, we are going to Iceland in our Land Rover next year, and
want to offer back up, tools and the ability to take some of the
luggage of anybody that wishes to join us. Also, since I've got some
contacts with shipping companies, we might be able to force a nice
deal with the shipping agents regarding the costs if we can get enough
people enthusiast.

We will be present at the meeting in Bidart in 2 weeks, so anyone that
is coming to feel free to ask questions and / or exchange ideas.

We surely hope that amongst this great group of Elefantisti we can
find a few likeminded travellers!

completed yet, but it has all the basic information.

That's an awesome trip... by the way which one do you think will die first in the trip ? the old "lady" (cf the old V8 land rover) or the old "maiden" (cf the old cagiva) ....

it will be without me ... I'm lost in Singapore... but i would have loved to join you in such a trip !

Wow, thanks all for the compliments!

Julien, why do you think any of the vehicles will not make it? Both the Lady and the Maiden are perfect for the job....... Especially the landy, with its stone age flint stone ignition and vapour cloth carburetion, hehehe. No tricky electronics that can fail. I just have to prep the ignition cable parts properly.

NSR, why too cold? Just some decent gloves and clothing, and you are up to the job.


Flyben, can I put you on the list? We'll talk in 2 weeks. We arrive in Bidart next saturday already.

Nice trip. I loved to be in the futur trip, but I can't be sure of anything because of my very new job.
